Art Therapy for Adults
You may look “fine” on the outside, but feel exhausted or empty within.
At times, you might feel stuck, unsure how to explain what’s happening inside, or find yourself spiraling with anxiety.
You may be holding a lot—trying to move forward from the past, caring for others, or meeting expectations—yet feeling disconnected from yourself.
There may also be a quiet sense that something is missing, even if you can’t quite name it.
How often do you take care of yourself?
As adults, we often carry many responsibilities and expectations, leaving little space for our own needs and feelings. Whether you are someone who:
– finds it difficult to name what you feel but wants to make sense of your inner experiences
– feels overwhelmed, anxious, or emotionally exhausted, and longs for a gentler way to be with these experiences
– is navigating a stressful period of life and is looking for a sense of grounding
– feels held back by past experiences, and wondering how to move forward at your own pace
– feels disconnected, and wondering how to stay true and honest with yourself
– is used to supporting others, and is now seeking a space where you can be supported too
Art therapy invites you to gently turn inward, approaching your inner experiences with curiosity and compassion. Working alongside an art therapist, you may begin to shine light on your inner strengths, find your voice, and reconnect with what feels meaningful to you.

My Approaches · Working Together
I believe that therapy is fundamentally a relational experience - it is about creating a safe space where your experiences and emotions can be explored, understood, and held with care.
My approach is client-centered which you are welcome to bring whatever feels important, confusing, or present in your life. We may gently explore how your past experiences and relationships influence how you feel and relate to the world today. This will be the foundation guiding my therapeutic understanding of the people whom I work with - a psychodynamic approach informed by psychoanalytic psychology, along with theories such as attachment and object-relations.
At the same time, I work with an awareness of how unresolved experiences or trauma can affect your sense of safety and shape your daily experience and relationships. The creative processes support grounding, emotional regulation, and the gradual building of safety. We work at a pace that allows trust to develop before approaching more vulnerable experiences. Art offers a safe way to express and integrate experiences that may be difficult to put into words.
No artistic skill or experience is needed. The focus is not on creating “good art,” but on what emerges through the process and what it reflects about your inner world.
Therapy is a collaborative process. Together with curiosity, we explore what matters most to you and gently rediscover the strengths within you.

To Begin Your Journey: What is the Next Step?
I offer both online and in-person sessions, in English and Mandarin. You’re welcome to share your preference when reaching out.
The initial session is 90 minutes while subsequent sessions are 60 minutes. Once your first session is scheduled, you will receive a google form to complete, which helps me understand your background and what brings you to therapy. This first meeting is a space for us to gently explore your concerns, background, and what you may be hoping to get out from this experience. You don't need to have everything figured out - this can be a place to begin making sense of what you need.
You may also be invited to engage in simple art-making in the session. This is not about creating something “good,” but about expressing what may be difficult to put into words. I will guide you through the process and support you in reflecting on what emerges.
